Players join the IMF to fight against the Syndicate, a dark and secretive global organization that almost no one knows about.
That player now has to go find that colour again to make a new line. Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation is a shooting game that alternates between first and third person. If they tag someone, that person hands them their popsicle stick and the counsellor crosses out one of the colours with the black marker. It's just like the regular version, but while the kids are looking for the markers, the counsellors have black markers and will be trying to tag the kids. Once you've played regular Mission Impossible a couple of times over the summer, take it to the next level with Ultimate Mission Impossible. The first person to find all eight (or however many) colours wins. When they find a marker, they make a line on their popsicle stick with it and then put it back exactly where they found it. Show them the example and tell them that their goal is to find the markers. Make sure you only hide one of each colour, and before you hide them make sure to make an example first by drawing a line of every colour on a popsicle stick. They must be visible, but hidden, and you can try to camouflage them on things that are a similar colour, and use tape to st ick them to places. A fine effort, indeed.Before the program starts, hide markers outside over a large area. But all these problems are easy enough to overlook. And though most of the game is well balanced, the last few missions become unfairly hard. Also, the games over-the-shoulder shooting style never feels as responsive or quick as it should. When you trip alarms, enemies start popping out of nowhere, and the skydiving scenes are more frustrating than thrilling. Adding to the slick atmosphere are solid controls and a bushel of useful items such as a waspsized camera and a sonic imager that lets you see through walls. Operation Surma really nails the Ml feel with the ubiquitous theme song and the dangling high-wire scenes. Talk about an impossible mission who thought developer Paradigm could craft a compelling game out of a license that no ones cared about for three years? Well it has, partially thanks to the way the Ml franchise naturally lends itself to the stealth genre, and partially due to the fact that it features an intriguing stop-the-evil-corporation story (told through some nice cut-scenes).
